Access

Regrettably, Brooklyn is not very suitable for the disabled, partly because of the geography of Staithes itself. Brooklyn is situated in the lower (old) village, but cars must be parked in the upper village, with a steep hill in between.

Brooklyn itself is sited on a passageway leading off the main road, from which there is a short but fairly level walk, and there are four steps leading up to the front door.

All accommodation is on the first floor, with one or two extra steps to the bedrooms, though there are handrails on both sides of the main staircase.
